Welcome to the EuroTraining Course Directory

This course directory has the aim of guiding you through the wide range of European Microelectronics and Microsystems courses that are provided by professional course providers throughout Europe. In order to consult the index and course description of these courses; please go to "Course Services" here above.

The EuroTraining Course Directory initiated the promotion of Microelectronics & Microsystems training under the EuroPractice/EuroTraining Project 1998-2004 (http://www.eurotraining.net).

Today, the Course Directory continues to serve the European market by providing a coherent and single entry point to the extensive training market. Course providers are invited to advertise their courses and events through the directory, while students can benefit from the service by accessing the course catalogue and choose the training of their interest.

EuroTraining services are:

  • Microsystems University Service:
EuroTraining is launching an innovative training initiative to help the development of course modules in microsystems (MST) technology. The initiative is inviting European universities, academic organisations and experts involved in microsystems research and education to work alongside one another to create their own first-rate route to an MST degree course.
  • Mobile & Customised Training:
courses tutored by experts to suit specific companies, either in-house or at suitable training premises in Europe.
  • EuroTraining Course Directory:
to guide you through the wide range of European microelectronics and Microsystems courses offered by professional course providers.
  • Distance Learning:
the EuroTraining distance learning scheme will make use of available training resources in microelectronics and will evolve to incorporate emerging technologies.

The EuroTraining Course Directory is sponsored by the CLEAN and microBUILDER projects

CLEAN is an FP6-IST project aiming at enhancing the design of the next generation's SoCs (Systems-on-Chip) by addressing the key issues of leakage power in nanoCMOS processes (65nm and below).

CLEAN's main objectives are the development of new leakage power models, design methodologies and techniques for leakage control and prototype EDA tools for automatic leakage power optimization.

The CLEAN project offers a number of training sessions and workshops Europe-wide covering specifically the topic of low-power and low-leakage design. Further information on CLEAN Consortium can be found at http://clean.offis.de.

The mission of the FP6-IST project microBUILDER, is to increase the commercial success and competitiveness of the European industry. microBUILDER provides industry as well as academic research groups with a simple and cost-efficient access to mixed technology development and manufacture.

The microBUILDER consortium offers training courses in order to raise awareness for the microBUILDER services. Further information on the courses can be found at the Training Page of microBUILDER
